Stepping out of the classroom and into Silicon Valley

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit California and tour the offices of Google, eBay, Adobe, Yelp, and Visa. It was an incredible experience learning firsthand about the strategies driving innovation at these companies and the challenges they navigate to stay ahead.

Getting a glimpse into how industry leaders tackle real-world problems reminded me why I pursued an MBA—to bridge the gap between theory and practice. I’ve also started noticing that I now tend to see the business side of problems more often than I used to—a small but meaningful mindset shift.

And yes, it didn’t hurt to escape the Pittsburgh cold for a few days ☀️😄
